River Edge NJ Schools

River Edge 4th graders shown the art of building a boat.  Students from roosevelt school spent may 2 and 3rd building pease canoes from prefabricated kits.  The canoes are 18 ft long and weigh 100lbs and seat 2 people.  Crews worked on four peace canoes which were sponsored by Roosevelt school, The Hackensack Riverkeeper, the Bergen County Historical Society and the New Jersey meadowlands Commission.

River Edge NJ residents will see $70 more in tax bill

The River Edge NJ counsil held a meeting on the proposed 2009 budget.  The proposed budget is $14,067,784 with a tax levy of $9,037,854.  Homeowners with the averaged assessed home of $436k will see an increase of $70 to their taxes

Paramus NJ police department has been granted federal grant money $38508 to improve antiterriorism training programs and enhancement of departments computer systems.  This will give relief being paramus is the shopping meca of bergen county and extra security and preparedness is great for our malls and safety of our shoppers

Paramu NJ Proposed as home for New Charter School

A Glen Rock NJ resident has applied for a proposed Charter School to be established in Paramus NJ.  She states “the idea was in my head for a couple of years.  To actuall put things together was this year.  This is when i started to put a team together of people that believed in the same idea”  The school will incorporate Paramus, Glen Rock and Fairlawn residents and the state has to Sept to approve or disapprove the Charter School
